Family Owned and Operated Since 1994

Retiring as captain from corrections, John and wife Christina Bickford, started out in 1994 with the purchase of Broadway Lanes, formally Fort Edward Bowl.

Shortly after both of his sons, Brandon and Sean joined on board with Brandon only being 20 years old. From there on forward, they have never looked back. After 20 years of Updating, Upgrading & Reinvesting, they decided to bring their love for the bowling business over to Granville New York. In August of 2014 Granville Recreation, now Slate Valley Lanes was purchased and underwent a complete renovation!

When times change, so does the sport! In order to keep up with the change of the sport, our bowling centers are equipped with the top-of-the-line Lane Oil Machines for the most accurate shot performance on our fully synthetic lanes. The Bickford family has, will continue to keep bowling fun for all ages!

When the times change, we adapt to it and keep rolling.
